By

We are excited to announce Greg Hollister-Jones appointment as an acting District Court Judge, to sit in Rotorua. Greg was appointed the first Crown Solicitor for Tauranga in 1998 and was a foundation partner of the firm. For the past 19 years Greg has prosecuted many high profile cases from the Bay of Plenty including the Michael Curran manslaughter and murder trials and the murder of Opotiki pensioner John Rowe by two teenage girls.

In addition to leading the Crown team here, Greg has also been involved in a number of community roles including chair of Bethlehem College Board of Trustees and the St Peter’s Care and Counselling Trust.

Greg is the sixth Judge associated with the firm.

Greg will retire from the Partnership on 31 March 2017 and will be sworn in at Tauranga on 5 April 2017. We wish Greg all the best!

Anna Pollett, a Partner of the firm who has been working alongside Greg for the past 2 years, has been appointed acting Crown Solicitor. Anna was a senior Crown Prosecutor at Meredith Connell in Auckland where she worked for well over a decade before moving here with her family.
